Online payments are automatically adjusted to include necessary handling fees. These fees are strictly to cover transactions fees imposed on WPM by the online payment service we use. All payments will automatically include a handling fee of 3.35% per transaction. WPM transparently discloses these fees to allow a better understanding of our payment system.
Many companies simply refer to this as an online convenience fee and do not explain why these adjustments are automatically included. As a property management company WPM has to cover an exact amount of monthly rental payment and fees to protect our property owners. Most property managers do not accept credit card payments at all, but WPM provides an online payment system to better serve our residents and applicants. We offer other methods of payment to avoid these fees.
